Bottles4College Sustainability Internship

Bottles4College is calling you to action! Join us in this hands-on experience that offers a unique opportunity to learn about sustainability in action. The Bottles4College Sustainability Internship teaches you the inner workings of sustainability through recycling Hawaii, where you will join us at our partnerships, events, and more to help further our efforts to bring environmental sustainability to our island home, whilst getting the opportunity to learn about recycling, sustainability partnerships, event coordination, and much more. 

Internship Roles:

  • Join Bottles4College at our business partnerships and facilities to learn and assist in recycling sorting and environmental partnership efforts.
  • Join Bottles4College at our events to learn and assist with community engagement, sustainability through recycling, and environmental education and awareness.

You can gain:

  • Real world experience
  • Exclusive behind the scenes learning of environmental sustainability for businesses
  • Intensive mentoring from sustainability members

    Requirements: 
  • Age: Must be 18 years of age or older by the internship start date.
  • Location: Must be physically located on Oahu with reliable transportation to collection sites/depots.
  • Able to lift up to 35 lbs and work in outdoor environments, as sorting and handling recyclable materials is an active, physical task.
  • Passion for the Environment: A strong interest in environmental protection and community education.
  • Communication: Friendly, reliable, and comfortable interacting with local community donors.

Gain a practical, real life understanding of circular economies, municipal solid waste management, and localized sustainability challenges in Hawaii.

Aloha ʻĀina Fair 2026

Bottles4College and Windward Mall are partnering to create Hawaii's premier Earth Month Festival, Aloha ʻĀina Fair 2026! This Earth Month event aims to bring together environmental organizations and local businesses with the community of Hawaii to share their stories and get our community members involved with the efforts and platforms built to protect our island home.

This collaborative effort brings together real environmental and community sustainability in a single call to action for the community.

This year’s fair will consist ofavendor booth fair inside the mall for environmental and community nonprofits and local businesses,amulti-recycling drive held in the parking lot, and a Benefit Concert for da ʻĀina!  To make an impact while giving back,Bottles4College is teaming up with Hawaii Foodbank, Goodwill Hawaii, and E-Opalaforamulti-recycling drive to help community members make an environmental impact with us at this event. The concert will be filled withlive music from Nā Hōkū Hanohano award-winning artists, up-and-coming, and youth talent. The day will have EPIC giveaways fromWaiākea water, Kualoa Ranch, Outrigger Hotels, and othersto give back more to our community, and many, many activities for the whole family.
