The Bottles4College 4 Schools Program

The Bottles4College 4 Schools Program is is a year long activation partnership we do with schools to give their students the opportunity to spearhead environmental efforts through Bottles4College at their school and community. With over 900 million cans and bottles sold in the state each year, Bottles4College works hard to bring sustainability through recycling to Hawaii while also supporting the future of our students and community. The biggest challenges of environmental work is the volume of effort to takes to make an impact, we hope that through this program, students get to help make an impact with us.

This program aims to show students why environmental work is important, what it takes to create these efforts, and further their education. Students also receive student volunteer hours through gaining hands-on experiences in sustainability work. As an added goal, if a school recycles enough throughout the year, they unlock a Bottles4College scholarship specifically for a student from their school. This program is built to support all students through their involvement, whether they are college bound, just starting high school, or looking for new pathways.  Last year, we had our pilot year with Kailua High and Kapolei High and would love to bring the program to Maui High.
