Bottles4Collegeʻs 4 Pillars:
Environment
Bottles4College works day in and day out to bring sustainability through recycling to Hawaii. Our efforts help events, productions, businesses, schools, and community make a positive environmental impact through collaborating with Bottles4College.
Multiple businesses have reportedly been recognized as green companies due to their partnership with Bottles4College, has seen their sustainability efforts raise by as much as over 400%, and have been able to protect our environment through our recycling efforts.
Over 900 MILLION cans and bottles are sold in Hawaii each year, we need to make sure that these millions of recyclables donʻt end up in landfill or worse, the nature.
To date, Bottles4College has now recycled approximately 2,000,000 cans and bottles & diverted over 150,000 lbs. of trash from our landfills and environment.
Education
Bottles4College aims to support education that happens both inside and outside of the classroom. Through our scholarships, we aim to raise accessibility to higher education. Through our unique volunteer opportunities and partnerships, we aim to bring inspirational opportunities to students to help them find their passions and reach for their dreams.
Bottles4College has granted over $60,000 in college scholarships to students across the state of Hawaii who have gone to study an array of fields at universities across the nation including pre-med, business, film, STEM, and more. These students are working hard to achieve their dreams and hope to come back to Hawaii to better the community that supported them through their careers.
Bottles4College also grants student volunteer hours to students who volunteer with us, having given out hundreds of volunteer hours to students joining our efforts to make a difference.
Community
Bottles4Collegeʻs impact is made for the community, created by the community. What we do is a community effort, meaning that the more we come together to bring aloha to our planet and students, the larger the positive community impact we make as well. Cleaning up the environment and creating college scholarships just cans and bottles at a time is a challenge, but it is one we can rise to because of the support of our community.
Bottles4College stays rooted in our community. We coordinate residential pick ups, hold community events, large-scale recycling drives, speaking events, school visits, and more to bring change to our community and to inspire our future generation of changemakers.
Hundreds of donors have come together to make up the Bottles4College community, creating a unique and unwavering ohana that has come together with Bottles4College to uplift one another and to support our students and environment.
Lifestyle
An encompassment of the other 3 Bottles4College Pillars, we aim to create a Bottles4College lifestyle. A lifestyle that focuses on being environmentally mindful, always looking to learn, support our community, and hold aloha to its truest meaning.
This lifestyle is made for everyone of every age and background. We all live on one Earth in one big community, so we need to come together to be there for one another so we can create a strong foundation for the next generation to flourish.
